Ottawa-based alt-rock band, Broken By Friday, is making a name for themselves in the live music scene. The group’s music combines elements of punk, prog rock, classic rock and thrash metal.

there was once a time when live music was affordable and easy to find. those times have changed, music is sooner streamed online and we can no longer afford the heroes we grew up on.

Since early 2025 Broken by Friday has been fulfilling these promises in the city streets of Ottawa's Byward Market where the economy is in ruins and everything costs an arm and a leg before tax.
Broken by Friday believes that an arm and a leg is worth a broken neck or two.
from the moment they climb on stage to the moment they scratch and crawl their way back off of it, there is no question of authenticity, no velvet rope between the sounds you hear and the emotions you feel.
